# Disconnect Wardogs External

> Set up Disconnect Wardogs External: required files, Discord Legacy Overlay, loader access, launch order and troubleshooting.

Work through the sections below in order to prepare your PC, configure Discord
and launch Disconnect Wardogs External.

## 1. Getting started

### Required files

Install these Microsoft components before opening the loader:

* [Visual C++ Redistributable (x64)](https://aka.ms/vc14/vc_redist.x64.exe)
* [DirectX End-User Runtime](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35)

If the DirectX installer offers an optional **Bing Bar**, clear that checkbox.
Only the runtime components are needed. Restart if an installer requests it.

### Windows preparation

  <Step title="Remove conflicting software">
    Open **Settings → Apps → Installed apps**. Uninstall third-party antivirus
    software such as Avast, Malwarebytes, Norton or Kaspersky, plus **Riot Vanguard**
    and **FACEIT** if installed. Closing them is not enough because their drivers
    can remain loaded. Restart Windows after uninstalling them. Leave other
    anti-cheat software installed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Prepare Windows Security">
    Open **Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings**.
    Turn off **Real-time protection** and **Tamper protection**. Then open
    **Device security → Core isolation details** and turn off **Memory integrity**.
    Restart Windows to apply the Memory integrity change.

  <Step title="Configure Windows Defender">
    Open the [Defender Control download page](https://www.sordum.org/downloads/?st-defender-control)
    and use its small **Direct Download** link. The large blue advertising
    buttons are not the download link. Extract the archive with an archive tool
    such as [WinRAR](https://www.win-rar.com/download.html); the password is
    `sordum`. Open Defender Control and select **Disable Windows Defender**.
    The Windows Security toggle alone can turn back on automatically.

<Note>
  These setup steps turn off Windows protections. Keep track of the settings
  you change so you can restore them when you no longer use this setup.

## 2. Set up the overlay

Wardogs External displays its menu and ESP through **Discord Legacy Overlay**.
The regular Discord overlay is not the overlay specified for this product.

  <Step title="Open the Discord desktop app">
    Install [Discord for Windows](https://discord.com/download), then launch
    the desktop app **as administrator**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Legacy Overlay">
    In Discord, open **User Settings → Game Overlay**. Enable **Legacy Overlay**
    and turn off the regular **Discord Overlay** option.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check game detection">
    Open **Registered Games** and check that **WARDOGS** is listed. Keep Discord
    running while you use the product.
  </Step>

<Note>
  If Legacy Overlay is missing from your Discord settings, stop here and ask
  support which Discord version or setup is currently supported. Do not
  substitute the SteelSeries instructions from the Rust External guide.

## 3. Download the loader

[Download the Disconnect loader](https://cheezit.life/).

  <Step title="Have your license ready">
    Find your key in your order email or the
    [Anchor Cheats customer panel](https://anchorcheats.com/customer-panel/dashboard).
    Keep the key private when sharing screenshots.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the loader">
    Run the verified loader **as administrator** and create your loader account.
    If you already have an account, sign in. Follow the loader's activation
    prompts using your purchased license.
  </Step>

## 4. Inject and launch

<Steps>
  <Step title="Complete injection">
    With Discord configured and running, start injection in the loader. Wait
    for it to finish before opening WARDOGS.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run your spoofer, if applicable">
    If your setup uses a compatible HWID spoofer, follow this order:
    **cheat injection → spoofer → game**. Ask support if your spoofer's own
    instructions specify a different order. Skip this step if you do not use
    a spoofer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Launch WARDOGS and wait">
    Open the game and let it reach the main menu. Allow up to **three minutes**
    from that point for the cheat menu to appear. Leave the loader and game
    alone during this wait; do not inject again or restart the process.
  </Step>

## Common errors

  <Accordion title="The menu or ESP does not appear">
    First allow the full three-minute wait at the game's main menu. Then check
    that Discord is running as administrator, Legacy Overlay is enabled, the
    regular overlay is disabled and WARDOGS appears under Registered Games.
    Try `Insert` to toggle the menu. If it still does not appear, restart Windows
    and repeat the launch steps once. Contact support if the problem continues.

  <Accordion title="Legacy Overlay is not available in Discord">
    Confirm that you are using the Windows desktop app. Send support a screenshot
    of the Game Overlay settings and your Discord version so they can check the
    currently supported setup.

  <Accordion title="The loader will not open or is blocked">
    Check that the Microsoft runtimes are installed, the loader is running as
    administrator and the Windows preparation steps are complete. Restart after
    changing those settings. If the download is still blocked, send support the
    exact warning and download address so they can check the file.

  <Accordion title="Injection fails or the loader shows a 0x code">
    Save the complete message, including its stage, such as **Staging**,
    **Bypass Failure**, **Injection Failure** or **Validation**. The same number
    can mean different things at different stages. Check the runtimes and
    administrator permissions, and restart if you changed the setup. If the
    error repeats, send the full message to support instead of applying a fix
    for a different code or product.

  <Accordion title="I changed a Windows setting but still get the same error">
    Restart Windows so that driver or security-setting changes
    can take effect. If the error remains, send support the exact message and
    the changes you made. Do not keep disabling additional settings at random.
